BB7: What Eugene Thinks Of The New Housemates

Friday, 19 May 2006 08:41 by admin

Day 1 (May 18)
14 New Housemates entered for the first time.

Bonnie 19:
She seems to be a bit of a Showoff and over dressed. Dare I say it, a bit of a Slapper.
But I could be wrong.

Pete 24:
Oh My god! I think the word “Hyperactive” Springs to mind. He is a Singer in a rock band. I think he is trying to play the Mick Jagger hyperactivity mixed with Captain Sensible¹s bizarre looks! He seems nice but could be annoying. Dare I say a bit camp??? But I think that this is going to calm down in a few days. PS: I did like the fake fall down the stairs. Not as funny as the un-fake dropping his hat :)

George - 19:
If Derek was a chav!!!! He is Privately educated, outdoors, likes blood sports. However, he seems to be quite a chav at the same time. He does not have the charisma of Derek from BB6. He is a Student.

Shahbaz 37:
An Asian guy from Glasgow Brilliant. He is also VERY Camp! He seems very friendly to the point of irritation. Every housemate got the shake and hug from him, He has been discriminated against by people in the past and I think he will get on well.

Mikey 22:
After his blurb, he had a massive boo. Everyone was shouting “To**er” at him after he mentioned is opinion of how to treat women! He is obsessed with tidiness so hopefully he’ll keep the others in line and keep the house ship shape!

Lea 35:
When she came on, there was some Booing. She is a model and she had a belt with Fake on her! She has had lots of plastic surgery, and does look a little like a model who is passed it! However, she used to be 22 Stone and I think she looked really nervous going in and I think she is actually quite a nice person and will do well.

Imogen 23:
Here is a girl who seems to be very confident in herself. She was quick to say she was educated, but was also quite self-promoting always a worry. Her work as a barmaid gave her lots of “contacts”! She is Welsh and quite fit which I think is good!

Dawn 38:
What is an Exercise “Scientist”??? Is that like the girl who advertises some Thigh trainer thing?? Keeping good looks for 38 must suggest she is dedicated, but Dawn seems to have a bit of Dusk on her views of others. Though she does criticize life and others, I think she may be a good person to keep discipline. That said, she does look like Makosi from BB6 hopefully she will not be as mind-bending.

Glyn 18:
He was the “best looking lifeguard”.... In North Wales! He fancies himself, but seems to be quite a nice person. He is quite quiet and also the youngest so maybe interesting to see how he gets on with the others. He claims that he is complex and that the girls love him.

Lisa 27:
When I saw her and her “bubbly” mannerisms, I could not help but think “Kinga 2”. But will she have the personality and actual caring nature though? She speaks Chinese.

Sezer 26:
He says he is an Entrepreneur and seems to like money and girls. He is very arrogant and does not have time for politics. But the way he talks, he seems to be more of an Ali-G Aye! When he entered, he said “Time to play the game” to the camera!

Nikki 24:
The Token Model! Youth has its benefits and also its failings. She seemed to be very immature with expecting to have what she wants and living a very un-worldly lifestyle. Eating junk food and reading the tabloids makes this Dancing Model one who I think could be weak. That said, on her entrance, I could not help but have a soft spot for her! Must be the Bunny outfit!

Grace 20:
A teacher of the performing arts Dance. I think she could do well especially in the tasks. She likes to be tidy and likes designer clothes. Could she be Grace by Name, Grace by Nature???

Richard 33:
This man is the Cliché gay in the house. He was very quick off the mark to say the Boys will be running out when he arrives. Wearing the cowboy hat, he made the house look like the YMCA song. I think he may go down well. As long as he does not go down on any housemates.

The housemates seem to be getting on OK. Having missed most of it, as I was at the entrance night. Shahbaz has become the guy washing up and providing a “parent” figure comforting Lea and a few others. Meanwhile Lea and Richard have already found the “secret” camera in the rabbit hedge in the garden.

Glyn and George have been quite quiet so far. But I think they will do more in due course.

Shahbaz and Lisa have been given a task after volunteering to go into the Dairy Room. They could be choosing some evictees! But they are immune!

Richard had been quite sensible and not too flamboyant, and Sezer had been talking about the fights he was involved in.

I do like the layout of the house. It looks Fab! I approve of the underwater camera. I do not know how obvious it will be to the housemates it will be.

The Barbeque, bathroom (in a hosepipe ban!) large living room. I wish I was there, well once I see more of the housemates :).

The housemates all seem cool as well. A good mix, and the “characters” should be entertaining to watch. They all get on at the moment. I think that Bonnie and Nikki may clash, possibly with Lea. I think that Sezer and Mikey could clash with Richard. Lea and Shahbaz will get on.

Diary: April/May 2006

Thursday, 18 May 2006 10:40 by admin
In April I was invited to go over to Cairo, in Egypt to do some Engineering work for Nile FM. (www.nilefmonline.com). It is the first western station in Cairo and also there is the Arabic service Nugoom FM.

I have to say the Music was great, current hits (the good ones) but with classic hits (oldies) in the mid morning then as it gets to the evening, requests and even dance. It is really good. I stayed wit Scott Phillips and his Girlfriend Parm who were really nice. I added the ability to record telephone calls, "compressed headphones" and replaced all the faders.

While out there I managed to see some of Cairo Life saw the city, saw the Pyramids (well, near them, the Museum, the Cinema in Maddi Corniche. The driving out there is, emm, unusual ;) it runs quite efficiently but more by luck than skill. It is a bit of a free for all.

I have also got myself involved with a Radio Station called "Passion Radio".
It is on the internet, but about to go onto Digital Radio (DAB). They play Classic Dance music and it does sound good. They are running a 28day FM service in Brighton and I have been the "geek on the street" on Breakfast and also been presenting Sunday's 9AM - 12. It is good fun, but I think the early mornings are taking their toll.

Today I have been interviewed by BBC online and Radio 1 about the new Big Brother starting on the 18th May. It is quite funny., nearly a whole year has gone since I was on it. Still, the skill is keeping doing things. I hope that they make it a little more intelligent - I somehow doubt it will though. The problem is these housemates are often so volatile and argue over nothing. I tried to stay out of it. It is supposed to be more crowded than ever, however, the pics I saw in Heat suggest it is a similar size. The area to the West which looks like a second garden is (or was) just waste from earlier series that had a larger garden. The Online interview was fun, we went out to Sheppards Bush to see how many people recognize me - seems to be 50% which, although biased for many reasons, would suggest in the region of 30million in the UK!! We then went up to the top of TVC to record an interview for Radio 1 Newsbeat. I think I was on form.

Then, over the weekend, I am in France at the Dragonball Run - this is 40 Toyota Supras driving over North France. I spent a day playing with a TV camera (Sony Z1) learning its features. It was quite straightforward to use, but there were still some quirks. It overexposes everything and needs to be toned down a little. I am sure I will figure that out as I am using it on the Supra Run!

Keep watching and keep reading.
